{"id":26481,"date":"2021-06-17T18:31:05","date_gmt":"2021-06-17T18:31:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.battleface.com\/media\/48-of-brits-considiring-a-holiday-to-spain-this-summer\/"},"modified":"2021-06-17T18:31:05","modified_gmt":"2021-06-17T18:31:05","slug":"48-of-brits-considiring-a-holiday-to-spain-this-summer","status":"publish","type":"press-releases","link":"https:\/\/rebrand2.bfstagesite.com\/en-gb\/media\/48-of-brits-considiring-a-holiday-to-spain-this-summer\/","title":{"rendered":"48% of Brits Considering a Holiday to Spain This Summer"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li data-leveltext=\"\u00ef\u201a\u00b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"2\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\">48% of Brits would consider taking a holiday to Spain this summer<\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\u00ef\u201a\u00b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"2\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Similar numbers would consider travelling to\u00c2\u00a0other hot spot \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcamber\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 destinations<\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\u00ef\u201a\u00b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"2\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Three quarters of Brits are prepared to be vaccinated\u00c2\u00a0in order to travel internationally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>New research* by travel insurance provider\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.battleface.com\/\">battleface<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0has found that\u00c2\u00a0almost half (48%)\u00c2\u00a0of Brits\u00c2\u00a0would consider taking a holiday to Spain this summer,\u00c2\u00a0with\u00c2\u00a0almost two thirds\u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u201c 64% &#8211; saying that they are considering it in the 18-34\u00c2\u00a0age\u00c2\u00a0group and 52% of those aged 35-54.<\/p>\n<p>Other top destinations\u00c2\u00a0being considered by Brits\u00c2\u00a0this summer are Italy and Portugal\u00c2\u00a0both\u00c2\u00a0at 46%; while 45% are considering\u00c2\u00a0Greece and\u00c2\u00a042% are\u00c2\u00a0thinking about\u00c2\u00a0a holiday in\u00c2\u00a0France.\u00c2\u00a0Outside of\u00c2\u00a0Europe,\u00c2\u00a037% of respondents said that they would contemplate\u00c2\u00a0a holiday to the USA this summer.<\/p>\n<p>All\u00c2\u00a0these destinations are\u00c2\u00a0currently\u00c2\u00a0rated as amber by the British government. This\u00c2\u00a0means\u00c2\u00a0COVID-19 tests and self-isolation are required by travellers on return to the UK. With many destinations also requiring\u00c2\u00a0vaccination passports\u00c2\u00a0for entry,\u00c2\u00a0almost three quarters (74%)\u00c2\u00a0of Brits\u00c2\u00a0claimed they are\u00c2\u00a0prepared to complete a full vaccination programme in order to travel internationally this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the current amber requirements for\u00c2\u00a0a ten-day home quarantine plus testing,\u00c2\u00a041%\u00c2\u00a0of\u00c2\u00a0Brits said that they would be willing to undertake this in order to travel internationally. Half\u00c2\u00a0of the respondents\u00c2\u00a0(50%)\u00c2\u00a0claimed that\u00c2\u00a0they would\u00c2\u00a0be\u00c2\u00a0willing\u00c2\u00a0to complete a\u00c2\u00a0quarantine for five days\u00c2\u00a0as well as the\u00c2\u00a0required\u00c2\u00a0COVID-19\u00c2\u00a0tests,\u00c2\u00a0whilst\u00c2\u00a0just\u00c2\u00a019%\u00c2\u00a0are prepared to\u00c2\u00a0fulfil\u00c2\u00a0an enforced hotel quarantine for ten days at the cost of \u00c2\u00a31,750\u00c2\u00a0(the current requirement for red list countries).<\/p>\n<p>Katie Crowe, Director of Communications for battleface said: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The great news is that\u00c2\u00a0as expected, there is still a\u00c2\u00a0huge\u00c2\u00a0appetite for international travel this summer.
